Lahore: Strict implementation of SOPs for Eid-ul-Adha and decision of additional markets


A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Lahore Saif Anjum regarding Eid-ul-Adha arrangements in which top officials decided that there would be no compromise on SOPs regarding corona in sacrificial animal markets.

According to the Commissioner Lahore, in addition to the government market, the proposed locations for 12 markets have been identified.

The number of markets will be increased and the gathering of people will be distributed. And more markets could be added under Corona SOPs.

No children or senior citizens will be allowed to enter the market. No one except one member of each family will be allowed to enter the market.

Commissioner Lahore said that no one would enter the market without masks and gloves.

Further steps will be taken to curb the spread of corona virus from the markets, including tightening corona checking at entrances and exits to markets.

According to the Commissioner Lahore, apart from this, no effort will be made in the sanitation of animals in the markets. The police will check the purchase receipt of each animal at the entrance of the city.
