Smart lockdown announced in Mirpur district of Pakistan-administered Kashmir


In Pakistan-administered Kashmir, after Kotli district, Mirpur district has also imposed a smart lockdown for 10 days due to the continuous increase in the number of people infected with the corona virus, which will be effective from 12 noon tonight.

According to the notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Raja Tahir Mumtaz, during the lockdown, entrances and exits of Mirpur district will be closed for Amdroft. Will be.

All public transport and private transport will be completely closed during the Smart Lockdown.

According to the notification, all the workers working within the industry area will arrange their accommodation and food within the industry as per the prevailing SOP while the workers of Mirpur city who do not reside within the industry will not be able to go to work. These workers will be required to pay their wages to industry owners.

According to the notification, employees of all financial institutions who come to Mirpur from outside the city will be required to keep their residence inside Mirpur.

The notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner said that during the smart lockdown, vegetable, fruit, grocery, medical stores, bakery, dairy, gas distributors will remain open as per the pre-notified working hours while restaurants, fast food shops Business people will only be allowed home delivery.

According to the notification, offices within the city that provide essential services including judiciary, finance department, police, municipality, health department, electronics, public health, lawyers and designated NGOs have been assigned to their employees in the smart lockdown area. Transportation will be allowed on the condition that they must have the service card of their department.

In addition, employees of all departments will be on call.

The administration says that the residents of both the police stations will be required to buy and sell essential items from the shops within the limits of their respective police stations.

Residents of Thothal police station will not be able to enter the city limits without any justification and similarly residents of City police station will not be able to enter the limits of Thothal police station.

Residents of Sub Division Mirpur Dadial will only be allowed to go abroad for check-up at the Medical Ground, for which a formal permit will be issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, while passengers traveling abroad will be allowed to travel as per SOP.

It may be recalled that smart lockdown has been imposed in three out of ten districts of Pakistan-administered Kashmir due to increasing cases of corona.
